DOESN’T IGNITE

If an electric stove doesn’t start, first check if the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You need to check the pilot light for gas appliances. If the appliance is plugged in and the pilot light is lit in the oven, it means a different part will have to be replaced. The reason for the issue might be the infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN DOESN’T HEAT

A stove or burner that does not produce heat will not do much good. Your oven doesn’t heat if there is a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. Your burner will not turn on if an element breaks or if the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We can troubleshoot and repair these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You always want a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the heat is too hot, it might be due to an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians are able to diagnose the cause of the issue and then fix it. But be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is times where an igniter will glow but will not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We will determine if we can fix these parts or if we have to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens sometimes experience door issues. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door doesn’t open and then we complete the necessary repair in order to put an end to the issue.
